Church of the Savior on Blood

Phenomenal location and was a dream to shoot with my $2300 L-Series 14mm Lens. Usually I put my gear away especially in European cities after using. This time I didnt and rt after leaving this church Veronica and I were approached by 2 people trying to sell us calendars. My camera and lens were around my neck and rt on my front side. Without me knowing one of the 2 thiefs managed to push the button and remove the bayonet mounted lens. Good bye 14mm Lens. Since then we have other procedures in major cities where we are not certain of our surroundings like putting simple luggage locks on the zippers while wandering around some of these places. The photos from this church are the last memories I have from one of my favorite pieces of glass.
