Church on Spilled Blood
St Petersburg, Russia
This church was built on the spot where Tsar Alexander II was assassinated in 1881. Inside you are presented with brilliant, vaulted ceilings all decorated with finely detailed Russian Orthodox mosaics. I looked for a shot that would show the decoration and help present the vastness of the architecture.
